Are they going up for anyone else? We hit bottom at $1.85 last week, and then they started going back up..... Cheapest around here now is $1.89, most places are at $1.99. Just when I was getting used to under $2.00 gas.....

Still about $1.75 here in Austin. But a climb is inevitable.

Ya it's gonna go back up but really, this is still good. I mean I don't see it going back to $3.00 anytime soon.

So far it's pretty steady between $1.69-$1.75 around here. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go up a little, though.

Because people trust what the head of OPEC tells us about oil prices... And my understanding is that "oil price" does not directly correlate to "gas price" unless you watch a specific type of oil.

Early this week it was about $.165 - $1.70, then yesterday all the stations raised their prices to $2.15 a gallon. Toledo is famous for this, prices going down for a week or so, then spring back up all at once, then slowly drifting down again. Thank God for Kroger discounts, saved me $0.30 a gallon yesterday.

I think I saw something around $1.65 a week or so ago but we pretty well stabilized around $1.76-1.79. I've been saying since the crash that it was going to go back up. There will be normal increase because of warmer weather but you also have to understand that the market won't stay this way, especially with every other industry on the rise.

Hmmm...futures are still down from when the year opened and crude is down this week, too.

The gas market has been up and down all month and there typically is a spring seasonal run-up that starts around January and goes through April. Didn't happen last year as in previous years but oh well. I believe the EIA estimates something like $2.35 for the year average in gas prices. Discussions at work pretty much assume a 2-3 year recovery until we see prices back where we are used ($3.50-ish).
